Train: Body and Mind
-
Getting fit isn't simply exercising your muscles.
-
The whole body is involved, and the whole body cannot exclude the mind.
-
Getting fit is not simple, and can be a long process, and a strong and dedicated mindset is equally important towards attaining fitness.
-
Sticking to a regime will also train your mind to focus and perform other tasks with equal strength and willpower.
-
Learn to listen to your body and avoid pushing yourself too far as you exercise, particularly when you are first starting out.
Why train your mind?
It won't be long into your workout that the goals seem too far and not attainable, or even if they seem attainable, they won't seem worth the effort. Only a strong will can make you reach your goal. Also, training your mind will allow it to perform all your other daily activities with the same will power.![]()
How to train your mind:
1. Get Started.
Perhaps the hardest part of a fitness regime is to get started. Show up at the gym or at the park, and you'll get started in no time.
2. Think Positively.
Though progress might be slow, progress is sure. Keep a positive mindset and keep attainable goals. A firm belief in yourself and the change is attainable will help.
3. Listen to your body.
You have a limit of how much you can do. Though that limit will grow with time, you have to listen to your body to know when to stop. If you feel excessive pain, you know you're doing something wrong.![]()
